Our organization is a Continuing
Education Partner with the University of
St. Thomas. The University of St.
Thomas School of Education Continuing
Education graduate courses are designed
to meet the needs of K-12 teachers and
administrators. In partnership with the
University of St. Thomas, we strive to
meet and exceed the “Standards of
Effective Practice” through these
practical courses to empower teachers
and administrators to bring the
excitement of learning to their students
and to overcome the challenges faced in
the classroom, school and community.
Carrie and Jerry Gottstein have been the
backbone of Continuing Ed. Options, LLC
since 1994. As husband and wife and
business partners, they have worked to
build a strong relationship with their
instructors to create courses that
are practical and that foster both
personal and professional growth.
They are proud of their program and plan
to continue their commitment to create
courses that meet the high expectations
of the University of St. Thomas and the
educators that participate in these
courses. Over 4000 students have taken
courses from Continuing Ed. Options, LLC
since it was started in 1994. They
strive to offer these courses in
convenient locations and to tailor
class time to fit into your busy
schedules.
Carrie Gottstein began her career in
education when she taught second grade
for two years in West St. Paul ISD #197.
She changed direction for 11 years and
was the office administrator in a law
firm. She then brought the experience
she gained in the business world back to
the field of education to help build
Continuing Ed. Options, LLC. It was a
perfect match! She has been able to
combine her skills to provide both
outstanding courses and personal
service to the participants in this
program.
Jerry Gottstein has been in the field of
education for over 39 years. He taught
social studies in Minneapolis and the
Robbinsdale School District. He then
became a guidance counselor at Plymouth
Middle School and Armstrong High School
in the Robbinsdale School District. He
started teaching in this University of
St. Thomas Continuing Education program
over 20 years ago. As much as he loves
the classroom environment to work with
educators, he especially enjoys the
“field trip” classes offered only during
the Summer Semester. He is known for
his sense of humor and his ability to
meet the needs of course participants.
He has a passion for teaching and it is
contagious!
